A status conference is scheduled to be held Friday, February 27, 2015 for the Xarelto Products Liability Litigation multi-district litigation (MDL). Currently proceeding in Louisiana District Court, the MDL—a mechanism for consolidating cases with similar claims—represents suits combined in December 2014. The suits allege that Bayer and Janssen Pharmaceuticals unlawfully marketed the drug, and that the drug companies failed to adequately warn patients of blood-thinner Xarelto’s dangerous and potentially fatal side effects, which include unstoppable bleeding. An update on the Xarelto MDL status is highly anticipated, as the nearly 100 cases pending in the MDL are seeking relief from the harm the drug has caused.
Though the Xarelto MDL is proceeding, it is not too late to participate in litigation if you believe you have a valid claim. Click here to learn more, or call 888-207-0382 to talk to an attorney about your experience with Xarelto.
