Use of Talcum Powder Linked to Multiple Kinds of Cancer

After a 2013 study published in the journal Cancer Prevention Research showed that women who use talcum powder may have a 20-30% higher risk of ovarian cancer than non-users of the product, a new 2014 study has revealed even more risks of cancer connected to the use of talc. This study was performed to investigate the use of talc and increased incidents of ovarian cancer and gynecological tumors when applied to the female genital region, as the substance could travel up and into the ovaries.
