Plaintiffs Pushing for Centralized Stryker LFIT V40 Hip Replacement Lawsuit

Plaintiffs pursuing Stryker hip replacement lawsuits alleging injuries relating to the LFIT V40 Femoral Head are seeking to have their claims transferred to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. In a petition filed in January 2017, plaintiffs support the creation of a multidistrict litigation (“MDL”) which would allow all pending and future cases to undergo coordinated pre-trial proceedings and avoid duplicative discovery efforts.

At least six Stryker hip lawsuits involving LFIT V40 components are currently pending in federal courts in the U.S. The cases similarly allege that Stryker’s LFIT V40 Femoral Heads are defective and should be recalled.
