New Talcum Powder Lawsuit Filed by Ovarian Cancer Patient
After 30 years of using Johnson & Johnson’s Shower-to-Shower product, Candace Lewis is taking the medical and consumer products company to court over the talcum powder product that may have caused her ovarian cancer, diagnosed in 2013. According to the complaint, at least 23 studies dating back to 1971 prove a positive correlation between genital talcum powder use and ovarian cancer. Baby powder, or talcum powder, has been a popular personal hygiene product intended to combat odor and moisture, yet many are unaware of its serious side effect—one of the most deadly cancers in women.
