GM Ignition Switch Deaths & Injuries Continue to Climb

More than 200 recipients are now qualified to receive payments from the GM ignition switch compensation fund, as Administrator Kenneth Feinberg has now approved 77 death and 141 injury claims to receive compensation from the fund. Over 1,000 applications remain under review for those affected by the ignition switch safety crisis. The 77 death claims are eligible to receive a minimum payment of $1 million from the $600 million set aside by the automaker. Victims are also being offered medical and other benefits through the program.
