Extended Deadline for $1.4 Billion Stryker Hip Implant Settlement
Recipients of Stryker’s recalled Rejuvenate or ABG II hip implants have a bit more time to register their claims in the $1.4 billion lawsuit settlement.
U.S. District Court Justice Donovan Frank ordered the registration of all potential claimants by March 16, 2015 where, under the terms of the settlement, claimants could be entitled to $300,000 each for their faulty metal-on-metal hip replacements. The faulty hips have caused a myriad of side effects, including metallosis, soft tissue damage, implant failure, and other health issues. The registration deadline applies to individuals who underwent revision surgery on or prior to November 2, 2014, whether a case was filed or not. Payments are expected to be distributed in late summer/early fall 2015. If you or a loved one received a faulty Stryker Rejuvenate or ABG II metal-on-metal hip implant and underwent revision surgery, you may be eligible to participate in this settlement.
