G&E Hosts Camp Lejeune Justice Act Informational Sessions in Jacksonville, NC

On February 8 and 9, 2023, G&E, along with settlement planning organization Milestone and U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Sgt. Paul Pride, will be hosting informational sessions for veterans and their families that were injured by the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune. The panel of benefits advisors and attorneys will discuss topics including claim eligibility, how to file a claim, what impact filing a claim may or may not have on your current benefits, and the personal experience of Sgt. Pride while he was at Camp Lejeune.

The sessions are intended to provide information for those injured or affected by the toxic water at Camp Lejeune so they can make informed decisions about filing a claim in light of the Camp Lejeune Justice Act. The Act provides a two-year window for anyone who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987 for at least 30 days, was exposed to contaminated water, and harmed by such exposure, to take legal action.  Veterans, civilians and families—even those who, at the time, were exposed to the tainted water in the womb—may be eligible to file a claim and potentially recover compensation.
